Mount Sinai - Sunrise Express Tour

Mount Sinai - Sunrise Express Tour

About Climbing Mount Sinai
It takes about 3.5 hours to climb Mount Sinai, starting from Saint Catherine Monastery, based at 1,500 m', and going up to the summit of Mount Sinai at 2,285 m' above sea level! One can walk all the way up or bargain with the Bedouins for a camel ride that goes to "Elijah's Pass" situated about 3/4 of the way up. From the pass it's another 1 hour up the "stone stairway" to the summit. Descending Mount Sinai is not less interesting, as it goes  down the " 3,000 Steps Path" and via "Stephanus Gate" leading to the Monastery of Saint Catherine, with an extraordinary "Bird's eye view" of the Monastery.

Kindly note that due to unstable situation in the Sinai, we have temporarily suspended
all tours to Sinai &/or Cairo until further notice.

Our » Petra - Jordan Tours operate as usual

To see the sunrise from the summit of Mount Sinai is an experience
you don't want to miss. The sense of "Heavenly Creation" wraps
and touches you, whether you are a believer or not.
