About Bethlehem
Bethlehem is recognized as the birthplace of Jesus & the Star of Bethlehem in the Church of the Nativity marks the spot of his birth. The town is inhabited by one of the oldest Christian communities in the world and is one of the Christian holiest sites. The city, located just 5 miles south of Jerusalem, was turned over to the Palestinian Authority with the 1995 Israeli-Palestinian Interim Agreement.

Tour program |
Pick up from ASHDOD PORT @ 08:00 am. Travel via route 1 to Jerusalem. In Jerusalem the tour begins with a panoramic view of the Old & New City from Mount of Olives. Following a short drive across the Kidron Valley driving by the Garden of Gethsemane, enter the Old City, via 1 of its 7 presently open gates.
Walk by the Armenian & Jewish Quarter, visit the recently excavated and restored Roman road the "Cardo" till the Western Wall, known in Hebrew as the Kottel. Proceed past the Muslim & Christian Quarters and the flamboyant Arab Bazar to the Via Dolorosa (Way of the Cross). Enter the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, recognized as the Golgotha & said to contain the Sepulcher – Jesus's the burial site.
Leave Jerusalem & travel to Bethlehem. Cross the check point on foot, over to the Palestinian side and visit the Church of Nativity, Manger Square with some free time to explore the area around the church and its many souvenir shops. Return to Ashdod Port.
