The proposed family program is an exclusive private guided tour. Covering Israel's Nature Reservs & National Parks as well as "child friendly" activities & sites. The proposed tour can be operated as is or tailored to your wishes & needs.

 

Israel Family Fun Private Tour
4 days / 3 nights 

 

   

 

Day 1

Pick up from Tel Aviv.  Drive north along the Mediterranean Coast to Caesarea National Park, to visit the remains of the ancient Roman port and fortified Crusader town. Tour the Roman Theater and the renovated port area surrounded by 800-year-old walls.  Next, drive to the pioneer town of Zikhron Ya'akov, to visit Beit Aharonson (the NILI Museum), and enjoy a stroll through the streets of the picturesque town's center.  Drive to Acre, a fortified Crusader port-city packed with historical interest and listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.  Visit the Knights Halls, the underground crypt & the Al-Jazaar Mosque. Have lunch at a seaside Mediterranean restaurant. Drive to Rosh Hanikra, where impressive sea caves have been formed by relentless waves crashing against the rocky cliffs that descend steeply into the sea. Take the cable car down to the grottos for fun exploring through these rocky passageways. Drive along the northern border road through the Upper Galilee Region, to enjoy scenic views of the forested mountains, the towering Crusader fortress of Montfort & Nahal Kziv, continuing to the Sea of Galilee area for dinner & overnight in Tiberias. 

 

Day 2
Continue touring amidst the natural beauty of Northern Israel, stopping at the Hula Valley Nature Reserve for a short trek along its lovely walking trails, "floating bridge" over the reserve's marsh, and special lookout points where visitors can spot countless species of visiting avian wildlife. Optional multi-media display.  Next, visit the mystical city of Safed (Tzefat), for a stroll along its fascinating streets.  Enjoy a tour of the town's historic synagogues and art galleries, and a visit to a candle factory and store. In the summer months (April to October) visit either Ma'ayan Harod or Gan Hashlosha National Parks. In the winter months (November to March) visit either Beit She'an or Beit Alfa National Parks
In the late afternoon drive via the Jordan Valley to
Jerusalem. 
Dinner & overnight in Jerusalem 

 

   

 

Day 3
Begin the day with a visit to the City of David to discover remains of the original city captured by Israel's beloved King David and made eternal capital of the Jewish Homeland. Next, enter the Old City to visit to the Davidson Center, for a multimedia overview of the Temple Complex that depicts ancient pilgrimage to the Temple in a unique way. Next, visit the Western Wall, the most sacred site in Judaism being the only standing remnant of the Second Temple. Tour the Western Wall Tunnels for a moving experience as you are guided through the excavations beneath the Western Wall. Weave through the narrow streets of the Old City's markets, steeping yourself in its sights, sounds and aromas, and perhaps try your hand at hunting and bargaining for treasures. Visit the Jewish Quarter & Cardo where the ancient Roman market place once stood. In the afternoon visit the Israel Museum which houses many ancient near Eastern artifacts and a vast collection of other treasures. Delve into the mysteries of the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Shrine of the Book and see the 2nd Temple period Model of ancient Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem. 

 

Day 4
Drive to the
Dead Sea area and visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Continue to Ein Gedi and take a medium hike through its Nature Reserve to the beautiful waterfall. Take the cable-car up to Massada and explore the fortress built by Herod the Great, which was the scene of the last epic stand by Jewish rebels during the Great Revolt against Roman occupation nearly 2,000 years ago. The new museum at the visitor’s center reveals the secrets of the rebels’ daily life, the story of the excavations, and how the site became one of Israel’s most important symbols. In the late afternoon, enjoy a dip in the Dead Sea, the lowest, saltiest body of water on earth. Return to Jerusalem.
