Depart from Jerusalem & drive into the Judean Desert for a day out in nature. Once in Massada, hike up the snake path (in the dark) the top of this ancient Herodian desert fortress. (Physical fitness required for this 1hr hike). Watch the sunrise over the Jordanian Moab Mountains and the Judean Desert.

Independent exploration of the Massada's archaeological remains to discover its history as it became a symbol of "Jewish Resistance". Descend the mountain on the snkae path or take the cable car down.

Proceed on a short drive to the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve with its fresh water springs & waterfalls. On for a float in the Dead Sea & a therapeutic mud bath. Return to Jerusalem with a stop at Mount of Olives.

Estimated return in Jerusalem around 14:00 pm.

Bring along 
Hat, water, comfortable walking shoes, swim suite, towel, sun screen lotion & snacks for the way (Nov. to Mar. warm clothes)
