Getting around in Israel, just like in any other western country, is only a matter of choosing your transportation means. Rent a car from local or international car rental companies. Fly domestic with Arkia or Israir - the two Israeli domestic airlines. Take the bus, the main bus company is called Egged, comfortable non-smoking air conditioned buses (they haven't been exploding lately :) ). Take the Israel Train service (when they are not on strike). Hire a private taxi & be ready to bargain or use the sherut, taxi sharing service, where available.
